  This story strikes home. I live in a townhouse complex comprising of 417 units in Cupertino, CA. We have 4 board members who have been on the Board for almost 20 years and they run the place like a Nazi stalag camp.  I live a couple of houses away from the president of the Board and my surrounding neighbors are his friends because he allows them special favors, thus, they harass me to death in an attempt to drive me out.
douglas_pasos: The reason for this is I speak out against the boards vicious and illegal tactics. For instance during the October 2006 Board meeting the Board dropped our earthquake insurance without a quorum or without asking for homeowners approval. Theu do not enforce the CC&R's for selective friends of the Board. The adjacent neighbors whom are friends of the pres. have been doing late night construction for 4 years and anothe neighbor adjacent to the pres work for these ppl in construction. He also harasses me. Years of this harassment has stresse
