How about the "mental illness" (and power-hungry greed) of many HOA board members? There have also been news stories of "mentally ill" HOA victims who have "gone postal" and shot or otherwise attacked HOA board members. This seems to be the psychotic outcome of this type of oppression on people just trying to live in and maintain their "homes" under the constant stress of HOAs et al!
