Yes, we Americans must be given the choice to renew these unconscionable contracts.   IF the people living in them today were given a choice, would they renew the contract? 51% should say "YES" each year.  Democracy is the thing we Americans preach to the world, so why is this such a difficult thing to implement here in America?  Bring it home - put it to a vote.  The CAI has testified in legislative hearings that "95%  of homeowners living in HOAs love their associations". 

What are they afraid of?
